What is the proposed idea/solution?

Currently, the record in an airtable can be linked to another one from a different table in a base. I need a feature that enables linking one record to another in the same table

How does is solve the user problems?

A record that highlights a task may be an extension of another record worked on earlier. To draw references from that record, linking it would help A LOT!

How was this validated?

Not having to jump into different records

Who is the target audience?

All teams working on AT.

Hello,

Certainly! Airtable provides a way to link records within the same table. Here’s how you can achieve this:

Define your relationships:
First, identify the records you want to link within the same table.
Consider the relationships between these records (e.g., task dependencies, extensions, references).
Create your relationships:
You have two options:
Option 1: Create a link between two existing tables.
Option 2: Convert an existing field into a new linked table.
Leverage your relationships:
Once linked, you can easily reference related records without jumping into different tables.
