I’d love to see a new data type that takes the URL of an image file and renders the image rather than just displaying the URL as a link. I would think that this would save you some storage space as well by letting us link to hosted files rather than pulling them in as attachments.

+1 It’s a shame it is not available. Notiion has this feature. Or go with NocoDB if you want to own your data.


Just signed up for AirTable to exactly do that, and it doesn’t seem possible 😦


Airtable is a poor image hosting service. Web apps use CDNs to auto-resize/compress/convert images for the web, something Airtable will never do.
