Hi everyone, the title basically sais it all :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

German +1

Any roadmap to get interface in Germany?

For project management this creates significant hurdles that will influence our business’ decision on whether to implement on any sort of large scale. Concerned that this still hasn’t been actioned in 3 and a half years.

My associate needs it in Russian language.

Hey Patrick,

Thanks for posting!

Right now, you can use any symbol you want for a currency, but it’s per column not a global setting.

We’re working on time and date formats, that should be available in the next couple of weeks.

Hi Andrew, it has been 5 years since this community has been requesting European formatting options.

We need currency and decimals to be 1.000,00 €.

That should not be so hard to implement.

You’re right Byron. Something which should be such a small issue, lasts already years. Getting tired changing all formats in excel before uploading them. Reason why I’m trying other software now in the meanwhile in which American format is not the only one…

Yes please! Simple 1.000,00 €

Hope to see to soon 😬

We also need the decimals to be like this format 1.000,00 €

This is so frustrating. We want to use airtable in our whole company, but we cannot use it for all the cases that deal with any kind of numbers because of the american decimal formatting.

Please fix that issue as fast as you can.

I think this formatting problem is a HUGE dealbreaker for european companys to use airtable permanently.

I need this too! Quite a deal breaker.

In Norway we write currency numbers like this: kr 1.000.00,00

or like this: kr 1 000 000,00

Having it like it is in Airtable now is horrible for us: kr 1,000,000.00

Dates like this: 31.12.2020

And we start the weekday on monday – of course.

After all this time it is absolutely ridiculous not to be able to format the currencies. For what we pay we deserve respect, we don’t ask for the moon, but a very simple thing!

And again, we want to speak about mobile version? Ridiculous!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the input and feedback around this! We wanted to share that this is something that our product team would like to address, but it likely won’t be on our roadmap for 2020.

When we do have an update around working with timezones and other regional formatting, we’ll be sure to announce them on our What’s New page.

In the meantime, I’d recommend using the SET_TIMEZONE and DATETIME_FORMAT functions to specify timezones for date fields in your base, and posting any questions over in Dates and timezones so the community can help out if needed.

Need Russian language in menu

Russian PLEASE !

I agree - this is really problematic! Formatting currencies and decimal numbers to different thousands operator and decimal operator.

How’s this still not implemented? :man_shrugging:

Hello Andrew… Ah these couple of weeks!

No sign of this feature? I like Airtable! But without this 1.000,00 possibility our and a lot of other companies cannot use Airtable.

This is truly incredible. And yes, I do understand what’s involved – I was a software developer for 35 years.

Even if you don’t offer different numbering formats on a per column basis, you could at the very least have implemented a base-wide setting for this.

In fact, I personally think it should have been one of the first usability issues you addressed.

That you can’t or won’t deal with different ways of formatting numbers, means you just lost a paying customer/prospect. I’m not spending my money with a company that ignores such basic and fundamental usability – and for such a long time.

Kind regards, Marjan

@Jason any update on this?

Especially implementing a decimal comma decimal separator into Airtable is going to be a giant step for mankind, and for our company.

Hi Jason,

i really hope this issue is on the roadmap for 2021.

Did you have an update?

Any way of including the letter m (as in million) after the number in a currency field?

Any updates on this? This is a HUGE thing to fix, a priority #1 for our company. It’s basically a dealbreaker.

2020 is over. 2021 is soon over. Any plans to make regional settings support in 2022?

I mean… 7 years since first message only in this thread.

any updates about this?

Really a pain for my users who have to be super careful when entering prices

It’s way beyond mid 2022 and STILL NO decimal separator localization.

If I enter “20,5” airtable goes like → “205.0”

You can imagine how big mistakes this can bring:

price: User enters:“199,99” → Airtable goes like:“19999.00”.

WHOOPS! :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

This is no acceptable! All we need is that it recognizes the “,” as separator, nothing more! I don’t care what character the actual value holds. Just the input needs to be fixed.

And I absolutely love Airtable (even got the shirt! :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: ) but lack of this prevents me to use it to any serious work that I would pay if for. I cannot allow anyone else to use it.

Any change this will be addressed very soon?

Any news? I will stop using the tool if this is not fixed. Excel works way better on this matter.
