It would be great to have a way to switch tables to display from right-to-left for Arabic for example.
I second this request. Also exported arabic text changes encoding. That is really an issue for me too.
Just like it is stated in this post:
https://community.airtable.com/t/encoding-issues-for-other-languages-in-csv-export/618?u=anna_kelian
RTL is important for several languages: Arabic, Parsian and Hebrew to name a few. For the meanwhile it can be achieved by a CSS manipulator plugin like Stylish for Chrome or Userstyles for Firefox but this is really a temporary hack. I second the request to solve this issue.
I’d love to see right-to-left support for text fields. We have a base featuring many languages so having an entire base be right-to-left wouldn’t work for us, but we do need it for individual fields. Right now we have to work with Hebrew and Arabic outside of Airtable, which isn’t ideal!

I am Iranian trying to use this database but my app data is shown corrupted and useless. Why don’t you support RTL? and why doesn’t anyone answer? Anyone has a solution for this?

Would immensely improve the chances to widely use AT in Israel.
It will be very useful if you will support right to left, also in the form text

Would anyone care to at least acknowledge this pressing need? More then 500 million people rely on a RTL Language.
The following article is an interesting read on this topic:
Well?
After 4 years don’t you think this functionality should have been implemented already?
When is this happening? We’re not able to work in Arabic for our translation work using Airtable, which makes it so we have to use Google Sheets in addition to Airtable, or we may have to shift to Google Sheets entirely.
And for views Also. It will be great for RTL.
Hello,
Do You have RTL Forms / Tables ?
How can i make one ?
Or may we add Custom CSS ?
https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_text_direction.asp
Thanks
The only solution I’ve found is to use Table2Site (https://table2site.com/) which supports RTL.But that’s a vary partial solution. I am impatiently waiting for the new Google Tables product. 4 years and they didn’t care a bit. Google products have better RTL support.
Did anyone fine a resolution for RTL in Airtable ? Does they have a plan to support this ?
Wow… still no solution??
Wow i can’t believe it hasn’t been done yet.
As a mini-developer i even know how much easy this job is (by Relativity of course).
Airtable has a lot of Right-To-Left lang users, and the fact that it isn’t been done yet - looks like a disrespectful approach to their clients.

Guys please! it has been requested from 2016
RTL support would encourage a whole new segment of customers to use Airtable.
Any new updates?? It’s super important to support RTL for so many people by default!

As a temporary solution, install the chrome stylish addon (stylish is free for one style - skip the payment option and go directly to the website userstyles.org after installing the addon).
Then go to the following URL and click install:
This is a browser-level temporary solution, until Airtable fix it on the core level.
It has to be installed on each needed browser seprately.

Hi Amnon,
Great work. However, it seems to only resolve the field data. This doesn’t RTL the labels or other components elements.
Any ideas?
Thanks
fillout.com has a feature to make Airtable forms right-to-left aligned (for free!). It takes less than 3 minutes or so to connect to Airtable and create a form, so if you need RTL forms, feel free to try it out! Here’s quick help article about how to enable that! 🙂
