When adding linked records to a column you can only select one at a time. This means you have to click “Link to a record” and re-enter the search term each time. Would love to be able to hold down “Ctrl” or “Cmd” and select multiple linked records at once. It would be a big time saver.

Must login to reply that please Airtable, we need it.

Still any Update yet for this feature ?

Let’s refresh this request, the possibility to link various records in one solo operation. With Ctrl as suggested by @David_Von_Lehman back in 2017… Or… with a sub-checkbox integrated into the records. Search within primary field only is really not enough as suggested by @Kai_Muscher.

Thank you!

Has this still not been implemented ??

THIS IS SO IMPORTANT ! Please Airtable !

Hi. Really need this.

Yes yes, PLEASE!! I’m new to Airtable and I thought this is a basic function but…?? Having to add records one at a time isn’t very ‘smart’ per se.

Oh i just find out the way:

  • Make your current column = Single text line

  • Paste your multi-values that u wanna make them into multiple linked records with “,” between them

    Ex: A,B,C,D,E

  • Set column type > linked record again >> problem solved

Not sure why nobody has given you a medal yet, @Vendors_Watec! Your solution worked for me brilliantly and you saved me a couple of hours of repetitive and prone to error work!

I didn’t need to add any commas though. I just copied the name of the records in a single line text field, then changed it to a “link to another record” field, selected the correct table and it turned all the values into record links.

Thank you!

I am baffled that this is NOT a feature! With all it’s capabilities, the biggest headache I have had with Airtable is how challenging and honestly annoying it is to Link data and tables. Can we PLEASE make this happen?

The fastest way to select many related records that I have found is to:

  1. first highlight the cell you want to add records to

  2. start typing to search for a record

  3. once it is found just hit enter to select it

  4. search for next record and repeat

It’s much faster than clicking and searching. Hope it helps someone.

this was helpful and made it easier while we wait for this multiple select update from Airtable. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

I am surprised this hasn’t been implemented yet. Such an important feature!
