It’d be helpful to be able to set a default value for new linked relational fields so that the field gets auto-filled as the records are created. This could probably be done with automations, but I noticed that you could set default values elsewhere, which is helpful, so this would be a convenient addition to that.
+14This request has been around for a few years (longer on the forums) and it seems like a logical step for the development team--they've been slowly adding the ability to set defaults for other fields.
This would help me cut back on my automation budget!
Why are there no Airtable team comments on these things that have been around for ever? Creating this would reduce automations which would be a win for AIRTABLE!
