Seems that almost all of my fields in almost all of my tables have more text in the column titles then they do in the records.
Agreed. Sometimes my Column Titles are long but the column content is small or even a just check box. I’d like to have the column titles be able to do a word wrap and cover 2+ lines instead of just one. Long single line column titles make the table too wide and force extra left-right scrolling. Making the columns narrower cuts off the title and removes the context of the data.

I have the same issue. Long Field Names are making the columns too wide. Enabling word wrap would make the display much cleaner.
Row Height has been introduced for cells. But why didn’t Airtable add this capability for Column titles/headers?! As mentioned above and in other threads, this feature is basic but crucial.
Please, @Airtable team, are you doing something about this soon? I love the Blocks feature but the lack of column header wrap is the major reason stopping us from migrating fully to Airtable.
Agree 100%. I don’t need any more features EXCEPT wrap for column titles.
Oh yeah, still a valid point… Any updates on this?
@Airtable_Team @Airtable - any idea when this will be introduced? There seem to be a number of threads explaining how desperately the text wrap on column headers is needed. When you need to have a longer title but the field is just a check-box it’s such a waste of space to have to make the column wide just because of the title. The column icons and the ellipses also take up a lot of space unnecessarily.
Please please help! This is a huge hurdle for us.
+1 Wrappable Column Titles, @Airtable_Team
This would be very very helpful to me. I have several column titles that I can’t shorten but which take up significantly more space width wise than necessary. It seems weird to not be able to wrap them. Anyone know if this is something that is being worked on?
Agree this would be very helpful and make viewing data much easier, e.g. when using Airtable to view survey data, where each column/field name is a question. At the very least applying row height to the field labels row would be fantastic. Thank you.
+1 to this idea, wrappable column titles seems like an easy add
Beuler beuler? Wrappable column header rows. This is tablestakes @Airtable team!
I also really need wrappable column titles!!
Would love this!! Especially since the titles end up being longer than data inside the column below the title.
Please drop everything and do this work :face_with_monocle:
Well I am least not the only one who sees this as important. Thanks
I also would like this feature.
This is a very basic, but important, feature. I just started using Airtable, and it’s one of the first things I wondered about. Any update, @Airtable? Thanks.
Is this on the radar yet? I’m finding myself having to duplicate work into Google sheets just because I can’t get all of my columns in one screen to easily get a view.
+10 for this being needed!
Same here - we have a lot of columns that don’t need to be wide aside from the title. Wrap here would be great
Naturally, I see that I’m not the only one. Frustrating experience to have MOST of my column titles HIDDEN – makes it difficult for my co-workers and employees to work on this.
Me too! Even a pop up of the full description would be helpful. I often forget what the column headings are, especially for check boxes!
YES PLEASE. This feature is desperately needed.
I would love this feature
I usually try to keep column names short for this reason but sometimes it’s not possible. It’s cumbersome to have to hover over the column header and then having to wait for the full name to appear. I’d be nice to be able to always keep the full name in view
Came to the Forum for exactly this. Please add this functionality.
I agree this would be very useful
