Question

Best way to send emails directly from Airtable without complex integrations?

I’m looking for a simple way to send emails directly from Airtable, but also want to track performance (like opens, clicks, etc.).

Ideally, I want something that:

  • Works directly with Airtable
  • Supports bulk or automated emails
  • Includes basic analytics/reporting
  • Is easy to set up without coding

What are you all using for this?

Do you already have an email tool that you use in general?

We use HubSpot, so I use their single-send API when I want to send customized emails from Airtable that are either 1) trackable or 2) more polished than what Airtable’s native email actions send out.

I’d imagine most ESPs offer something equivalent. It likely won’t be completely no-code, but still very manageable for someone even slightly technical, especially if they have Claude or something helping :D

@Alfredo

What you’re looking for is called a “transactional email service” (for the single-send emails) and “marketing email campaigns” (for the bulk emails).

I have tried many different “transactional email services” that also offer “marketing email campaigns”, and the one that I currently recommend is MailGun. I have found them to be very easy to use with very good customer service. (This recommendation might change in the future as I continue to explore more email services, but this is my current recommendation.)

You can fully automate MailGun from Airtable by using Make’s MailGun automations in conjunction with Make’s Airtable integrations.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you can instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable

(Note that there are many different email services to choose from. You can check the full list of 3,000+ apps which Make natively supports to find other email services as well.)

Hope this helps!
