👋 I’m Dominique. I’m a Data and Operations Director for HearstLab. I help our team, and the early startups we work with, run just about everything on Airtable. We’re doing a lot with AI right now and are using Airtable as our AI orchestration layer. The most valuable thing I built recently is an org chart of our ‘AI employees’ - helps the team visualize how all our field agents and AI automation come together to execute complex workflows and it’s a great way to take people along for the ride. 

Meeting other builders has given me so much energy over the years and helped me grow in my role. Excited to meet more of you IRL and keep learning together.

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable? A Marketing audience builder. I pivoted from media creation to marketing technology because of how long it took to build an audience list using our previous methods (2-3 excel files and hope)

What would you like to see from this group? I’d like to share Airtable development ideas and collectively push the ones we agree benefit us all to the AT development team. I want to hear how others are using Airtable in ways that might be applicable to my company and share my work as well.

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable? A creative production app that automated much of the freelancer lifecycle (RFP, booking, feedback/rating). Now I’m building a newsletter & podcast content hub powered by Hyperagent. 

What would you like to see from this group? Generally: Always excited to hear how others are using Airtable in the wild--there are so many ways to tackle different use cases (or even just one!). Specifically: It’d be super cool to explore low-stakes IRL possibilities (coworking days, meetups, etc.).

How are you using Airtable? We utilize Airtable heavily both as our source of Product Intake and Reporting functions. We are about to embark on a new journey to expand Airtable’s usage to ~3500 users as part of a deparmental goal consolidate tooling. These core functions are Project Planning, Capacity Management and Roadmapping. In my personal life I’ve made a few fun Custom Interfaces and turned them into kiosk/always-on displays - more on that below!

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable? My Subway clock is a Custom Interface I’ve made using API’s! It’s set up in my living room for easy access.

What would you like to see from this group? It would be great to do a “show and tell” series where we can all learn from each other. I believe many of us are using Airtable for similar purposes (CRM, Project Management, etc) and talking to other SME’s is always valuable not only to learn about proven solutions but also general inspiration. Additionally, it’s always great to hear from Airtable employees about what’s coming down the pipeline on their product roadmap, and get demos/hands on time with these features.

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable?

I’ve been toying around with making my own fitness app as a part time fitness instructor  — catch me at the Tribeca Corepower on Thursday / Saturday mornings. I’d love to be able to dynamically create and store sequences somwhere. Will keep y’all updated as it comes together! 👀

How are you using Airtable? I’m apart of a newly developed Digital Enablement team at Hearst Mags Revenue Operations. My role means bridging the gaps between all of our departments by building the systems, workflows, and processes that improve the way we synchronize information, raise our efficiency, and enhance our technical adoption.

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable? If you couldn’t already tell I’m a bit of a systems nerd - I love the puzzle of figuring out the steps of anything we do in life - personal and professional. At work I’ve “quantified the qualifiable” by building out capacity-based systems for producer or working with another Airtable builder to create a production call sheet - something I had only ever seen done manually and as a big stressor for tv/film teams. Personally, I have (in the past) built an Airtable career tracker where I tracked an automated applications and conversations with recruiters and folks working the spaces and industries I want to work in as well. My dream project would be to finally build my Clueless inspired digital wardrobe - just have to clean out my closet first 😬

What would you like to see from this group? Seeing the New York crew not only on the front of innovating in this platform (especially in entertainment and media spaces - I see you guys!), but also building out networks as a strong community that learns, grows and inspires each other.

How are you using Airtable? At my company we use Airtable for lots of different database/workflow/ticketing hybrids, heavily leveraging interfaces. We have launched tools to support contract workflows, release schedules, accounting closes, and more. 

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable? One of the more exciting wins for me was using the generate structured data automation to read pdfs dropped in an attachment field, to then itemize line items for budget tracking, saving our team lots of time worrying about data review instead of data entry.

What would you like to see from this group? I really enjoy seeing how other people are using Airtable. I love getting new ideas from others and seeing how folks manage things like user adoption and governance, since those are my least favorite 😂

How are you using Airtable? At work, my team uses Airtable interfaces for our operational layer so we create and add features for users to handle their workflows. At home, I love to make lists and automate so I’ve got a few tools to help my day to day life

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable? My wife and I travel a lot and I’m always forgetting details of our trips so I set up a tool to track trips, costs per traveller, and integrating to my google calendar with invites for anyone on the trip.

What would you like to see from this group? I’d love to see the cool things that everyone is working on and generally geek out.

How are you using Airtable? I run an educational travel company with a team around the world. We use Airtable for all of our operations and itinerary design and management. Last year we had about 2,200 travelers in 25+ countries!

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable?

We use Airtable to manage all of our reservations for every day on an itinerary. This itinerary engineer (we call it “Daily”) has allowed us to keep track of bookings in a unified and streamlined way. This industry generally relies on a lot of spreadsheets, so using Airtable has allowed us to create a single source of truth while we scale. It’s also fun to have a massive database of how many times we’ve booked a certain restaurant etc. 

What would you like to see from this group? (This really helps us plan future events and programming!)

I’ve been using Airtable for a few years but don’t have a strong development background. I’m excited to see the creative solutions and workaround folks have come up with to keep improving our flows and processes.

How are you using Airtable? Personally I use it for tracking many things in my life like a gift tracker. For work we use it to manage our business and we build out custom Airtable instances for a wide variety of clients across industries and use cases which is really fun.

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable? This is such a hard question since I’ve built so much over the years. The thing other people tell me is the coolest is that we built an end-to-end system for a private jet company that did everything from maintenance tracking to scheduling and flight dispatching.

What would you like to see from this group? (This really helps us plan future events and programming!) 

I’m really excited to get more informal gatherings on the books. I think there is something really magical about being able to talk about what you’re working on, ask questions from other folks who have seen/done it before and get inspired!
