We used to be able to select a photo size option ie: small, medium, large when uploading photos from the iOS AirTable Mobile app.
Now it doesn’t seem to offer the option and forcing you to upload much larger than needed photos and wasting my data.
Is there a way to turn this on or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any assistance here.
Thanks,
Thomas

I have a table as an «app version» where I upload photos of my products. The second field is to upload a photo. Because they are 5-8 MB it takes forever. So much that I cannot use AirTable. I have to use the native iOS camera-app and use Notes for the notes. I only need 200-300 kB photos for my use.
Hmmm… that’s strange, because I’m not having any problems uploading large photos to Airtable from my iPhone — even 4 MB or 5 MB in size
The upload of large photos happens nearly instantaneously for me from my iPhone, so you may want to open a support ticket with support@airtable.com.
However, if you’d like to get the option to upload a small, medium, large, or full-sized version of your photos, I would highly recommend using Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable.
Please see screenshot below.
Fillout is 100% free, and it gives you the ability to choose what size photo you want to upload to Airtable.
Ah… this was new to me. Similar as 3rd party apps on STRAVA, will test FillOut Thanks
By «forever» I mean 6-8 seconds on 5G network with 40% coverage. With perfect 5G coverage it would take 2 seconds for 8 MB. These 6-8 seconds are enough to ruin the workflow, I am taking these photos while others are testing my products. They can test 40-50 products in a row and to wait for the app to upload the photos simply kills the workflow. I take a photo, put in the info and their feedback. They are already giving me feedback on the next product while I am waiting for the upload for the previous product.
