AirTable refresh happens in "waves", is this expected behavior?

Hi There,

I’m in the middle of doing a performance stress test of AirTable. The test was using a 1,000 row table with 1,000 columns that have different metrics where each column depends on the 3 prior. When I change the value of the first 5 metrics (which are free input columns), the remaining metrics refresh multiple times. I was expecting an instant re-calculation, just like Excel, where the columns would all change value at once, but instead, it appears they use some sort of convergence approach, settling to the final values after approximately 5 seconds.

Can you confim if this is expected behaviour? Is there any way to know if a row has fully finished re-calculating?

Thanks very much
Peteris
