Automatically Updating Chart to Kanban View

I have filtered kanban views and I have a chart block. I’d like the chart block to automatically update when I change views. Is this possible?

Welcome to the community, Aida!

I only have a free account, so don’t have access to blocks, but my gut says that this isn’t possible. Changing a view only changes what you see for a given table. It doesn’t actually change any table data. I’m pretty sure that things like chart blocks will only update with an actual data change. Even if there’s a way to link a block to a specific view, the contents of that view would need to change in order for the block to pick up the change, and a view’s contents only change when the data changes.

Thank you! I was thinking the same but was hoping for otherwise. Much appreciated!

Justin was correct - blocks are not linked to the views being displayed at the time (would be a nice idea though).
