so i was recently messing around with how to link records together and i accidentally clicked on Do Not Show again box. i use to be able to select the records i wanted by category. is there a way that i can restore the do not show again pop up?

Unfortunately not, which is another poor decision from the Airtable engineers. I would recommend emailing support@airtable.com to ask them to fix this behavior.
However, the good news is that you can manually achieve the same effect by right-clicking on the column header for your linked field and choosing “Add Lookup Fields”.
