@okky.hibrianto

Yes, unfortunately, that is a longstanding bug in Airtable.

Read-only users cannot upload attachments through forms while they are logged into Airtable. They can only upload attachments if they log out of Airtable.

However, a more elegant and more powerful solution would be to rebuild all of your Airtable forms with Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable instead.

Fillout is 100% free, and it doesn’t have any of Airtable’s limitations. On the contrary, it offers hundreds of advanced features that Airtable’s forms don’t offer, such as offering you more advanced features for your attachment fields

Fillout also gives you the ability to:

I show how to use a few of the advanced features of Fillout on these 2 Airtable podcast episodes:

Hope this helps!

I dont think it’s a longstanding bug. It can be done yesterday and long way before that until today. I already tried fill the form without log in and have the some error outcome.

If it doesn’t work when your users are logged out, you should definitely report the problem to support@airtable.com.

Noted on that, i just had email the problem to support team.

Just wondering if this is happen because of bugs or changes of airtable policy.
And also wonder does this happened to the other client as well.

We are having the same issue too.
I tried by giving editor access and it doesn’t work.

This has been officially acknowledged on Airtable’s Status page that this is a current issue that they are working to fix over the next few hours.

The current issue is that logged-out users can’t upload attachments.

But note that the old limitation/bug/issue still remains: logged-in users are not allowed to upload attachments if they are read-only users. This is the strange bug/limitation that I believe Airtable needs to fix, but the workaround is to use Fillout.
