Embedded form slows down my web page

I have not seen this with my embedded forms, so be sure to post back here with what Airtable Support tells you.

In the meantime, while you’re waiting for a reply, you may want to try to embedding forms from another source, such as Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable or JotForm. (JotForm doesn’t offer full integration with Airtable, so you’ll likely want to use Make’s JotForm integrations with Make’s Airtable integrations.)

Both of these apps are 100% free. These apps would also help you rule out if the problem is on your end or if the problem is on Airtable’s end.

Thanks for your reply. Are your forms created in the old "view" builder or the new forms interface? I'm using the interface and I wonder if that's the problem.

I'm familiar with both fillout and jotform (which I believe does have a direct Airtable integration) and they are great tools, but I want to keep my tech stack simple on this project. 

No delays on my end with either embedded interface forms or embedded form views. Actually, there is about a one-second delay with the embedded interface forms.

Late 2023 update: I just checked, and it looks like JotForm has updated their Airtable integration to work again. They were probably thrown off by Airtable’s surprise deadline of June 2023 when Airtable stopped issuing new API keys, because JotForm was unable to work with new Airtable integrations from June 2023 onwards. Looks like they have addressed that issue now.

However, Jotform’s Airtable integrations are still weak compared to Make’s JotForm integrations, because JotForm doesn’t  natively support all Airtable field types, nor do they offer any additional logic in their integrations.

In 2023 and 2024, Fillout has really taken the lead in form software at this point, though, so I would highly recommend using Fillout for your Airtable form software.

No, unfortunately I did not resolve it and support wasn't able to help. 

It may be a problem with my website's hosting, but in the end I did switch to a Fillout form instead. Now it takes about 3 seconds to load, instead of 10.

I have the exact same problem. The embedded forms are extremely slow to load...

And, as there are questions about this on the community since 2021, it seems that this issue has not been looked into by the Airtable team 😞

I think that I will just put a button on the page linking to the actual Airtable interface.

I have many clients who are using Airtable’s embedded forms without any delays, so if you’re experiencing delays, be sure to open a support ticket with support@airtable.com so they can look into your particular situation.

In the meantime, as mentioned above, you can embed Fillout’s Airtable forms for free.
