Error when attempting to connect to Base from Zapier

I’m trying to set up a Zap but get this error right at the start of the process when I test that Zapier can connect to the table:

Bargle. We hit an error fetching a record. :-( Error: 
An error occurred (ServiceException) when calling the Invoke operation 
(reached max retries: 4): We currently do not have sufficient capacity in 
the region you requested. Our system will be working on provisioning 
additional capacity. You can avoid getting this error by temporarily 
reducing your request rate.

I’m not even clear if this wording is coming from Zapier or Airtable.

How do I get this working?

Things I’ve checked:

✓ API key is correct
✓ Zapier can connect to Airtable
✓ I get the same error when trying to connect to any table in any base
✓ tables I’m trying to connect to have existing records
