Quick functionality question. Is there a way to highlight a set of records and make quickly assign them the same value in a given field? I.e. instead of assigning them the same value for X field independently, just highlight the records and do it with a couple of clicks?
I know about the fill handle, but that isn't always practical

You could try the Batch Update extension, but it doesn’t let you select a group of records. You would need to gather the records in a view and then apply the change to the records in that view.
