Hi there,

I found multiple posts in the community and other blogs that say I can capture submitter IP address in Fillout. It is crucial to my workflow, but I now can’t find this feature? Any help or workaround would be greatly appreciated as it is mission critical!

I’ll ask them about it, but I don’t think that’s possible with Fillout. You may need to use JotForm, which captures the submitter’s IP address. JotForm doesn’t offer native Airtable features, though… and you will sometimes need to use Make’s JotForm integrations (along with Make’s Airtable integrations) to get all of your submission data into Airtable.

Just got confirmation from Fillout that they do not reveal the submitter’s IP address.

By the way, if you’re trying to restrict a Fillout form so that only certain people can submit a form, Fillout offers a login page with a bunch of different security options.

You can even restrict submissions based on a table of users that you create in Airtable.

Hi Scott,

Thank you for that. Yes this is a real shame, and is a real limitation on Fillout with I otherwise much prefer as a solution… this has left me in a bit of a sticky situation! I am looking into options to reroute the form via a organisational domain to capture it.

Hi @Isobel_Datamise,

If you want to restrict submissions by organizational domain, you may want to look into Fillout’s email login domain restriction feature.

Hope this helps!
