This would probably work out fine with Airtable’s native forms, but to be on the safe side, you would likely want to turn to professional form software such as Fillout Business or Fillout Enterprise. (You may also want to look at JotForm Enterprise, but Fillout is much better.)
Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable is the #1 form software available for Airtable, because it communicates NATIVELY with Airtable and it offers hundreds of advanced features that Airtable doesn’t provide in their forms… such as updating records from a form.
To answer your question of whether Airtable can handle 10,000 form submissions in an hour, keep the following in mind:
- Airtable’s API has a limit of 5 requests per second, which translates to 18,000 requests per hour. So you should be okay, as long as you don’t exceed 5 requests per second. To be on the safe side, you can keep your form submissions stored at Fillout. And then later, you use Make to bring them in with a delay to Airtable.
- Airtable has a limit of 50,000 records per base on the Teams plan, so if you’re expecting more than 50,000 records, you would want to upgrade to a higher plan with Airtable.
So your best bet would be to sign up for Fillout Enterprise.

Typically, JotForm is the professional form tool of choice. Airtable’s form is not designed to be a professional form platform, so you would probably want to look at more professional options like JotForm, which is considered the leader.

I doubt that the limit of 5 requests per second applies to forms. This limit is for the public REST API. Forms do not use the public REST API. The APIs for scripting and custom apps are capable of submitting 15 requests per second, so it is reasonable to assume that forms submissions can be at least 15 per second…
