I would like my formula to present the number formatted by grouping the thousand, like “100,000”, but it displays “100000”. I do not want to turn the number into text because I need the ordering. I think every formula should have a type.

Is there a solution?

Hi Gabriel Moreira, I have the same question. Have you figured this out?

Thanks,

Rob

Is it possible to make number format from this 123456789 to 12-345-678-9 ?

Just in case anyone is still getting here via search results all these years later, the answer I found was here: https://support.airtable.com/v1/docs/common-formula-errors-and-how-to-fix-them

In short, click on Edit Field, then above the formula box there there is a tab for Formatting. You can solve basic number formatting that like the 100000 > 100,000 that way. Hope this helps!
