Forms - default values

Trying to create a form I click “add a field to this table” I see under “Single line text” (type of field the words “A single line of text. You can optionally prefill each new cell with a default value.” see attached

that’s what I want to do but can’t figure out how to actually do that?

TIA for any ideas here…

That option is only for entering data via the Airtable user interface.

For prefilling forms, you need to alter the URL of the form. Here are instructions on how to do that:
