I need to generate an image link that ends in .jpg or .png for the purpose of registering the product to GS1 (to assign a barcode). Is there a way to change the URL of my product image in Airtable so that it ends in .jpg?

At this time Airtable expiring attachment URLs can’t be customized I’m afraid and so I don’t think that's possible.  Check out Cloudinary, has a pretty generous free plan and you can upload stuff with a Run a Script action and then use the Cloudinary link for what you need

Thank you, that’s a shame, but I will check out Cloudinary.  :)

If you need to automate the process of moving your attachments from Airtable to a cloud drive like Cloudinary, Google Drive, etc., I would highly recommend checking out Make’s automations and integrations. They offer native support for Cloudinary, Google Drive, and every other major app on the web.

As part of your automation, you can generate the URL of the image in the cloud, which you can then send back to Airtable — or any other service that needs your URL.

You can see an example of how to automatically move attachments out of Airtable to a cloud drive in this post, although you don’t need to do that final step of clearing out the attachment in Airtable if you still want to keep the attachment in Airtable.

Also, if you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable

Hope this helps!
