I have created a PDF Form for ordering food, where a user can enter number of food items and then the form will calculate the total. Is there a way I can import the data from PDF Form into Air table, atleast the total cost?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the community, @Dilanka_mohotti!

You have 2 different ways of solving this problem.

SOLUTION #1:

It would be much easier to give your customers an online order form to fill out using Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable, which will automatically put your data into Airtable and will automatically generate a custom PDF file (if needed) after form submission.

Fillout is 100% free, and I show how to use a few of the advanced features of Fillout on these 2 Airtable podcast episodes:

Fillout also offers hundreds of features that Airtable’s native forms don’t offer, including the ability to update Airtable records using a form, display Airtable lookup fields on forms, control access to a form via SSO or email domains, perform math or other live calculations on your forms, accept payments on forms, collect signatures on a form, create multi-page forms with conditional paths, create new linked records on a form, and much more.

SOLUTION #2:

However, if you really need to extract data directly from a fillable PDF form, you would need to turn to a PDF app that can provide this functionality to you, such as PDFFiller, which can be fully automated by using Make’s PDFFiller integrations and Make’s Airtable integrations.

Make also offers support for other PDF tools as well, such as PDF.co or CraftMyPDF.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.

I also give live demonstrations of how to use Make in many of my Airtable podcast appearances. For example, in this video, I show how to work with Airtable arrays in Make.

Hope this helps!
