Is there a way to get a clickable link from an email in a field?

I have a project management template that I am using.

In the project description I have several fields, using the “URL” type I paste the unique email link of the format: message:%3CCAPTktyxYeuqfNsDaLDg864AO=b4MawVwSaaBwRRgOSTuWX5fCA@mail.gmail.com%3.

This tries to open Safari and it doesn’t link to the email app. Is there another way to do this? (I also tried with a “long text field”.
