Is there a way to link amounts paid from invoices that to the bid sheet that is on another table? If I’m paying a roofer from the invoice I have recorded in one table, I would like that amount to go right to the bid sheet amount in the “roof” category under “amount paid out”. There has to be a way, but I am really new to all of this.

There definitely is a way. You have to have a Linked Record between both tables. I suppose in your case the linked record would be the Invoice?
It would be better if we can see a screenshot of the tables to be able to help you more.
From the top of my head, Id say you need a Lookup field in the 2nd table that retrieves the amount paid.
