I’m locking make a public database. Is there a way to lock a row’s data once it is entered? But not have the entire field be locked.
The idea is that it would be a database of contacts where each contact will enter their own information and be able to see everyone else’s (but we want to lock all previous fields except the one you are entering)

You can’t. If it is only input + looking at all the other records, I would suggest gathering the input via a form and showing all te records via a shared link. You could also use a form in combination with a “locked view”. Both options won’t help if your contacts should be able to change their record(s) after input.
