Anyone using the Monte Carlo simulation method to calculate completion times of tasks and projects?

Yes, definitely ! MC is a super valuable technic! Hard to start, but the pay back is almost instantaneous.

A few years ago, I had been using Airtable for Project & Portfolio Management. But I didn't manage to implement monte-carlo simulations in it. I had to extract the data within Excel, make the simulation here then re-import it within Airtable. Could this operation be made with APIs ? In another occasion, I approximated the calculation of the 90% confidence interval I was seeking with a linear combination of the inputs. But it is not ideal.

And, is there something new that could help with Monte-Carlo simulation ? Could the scripting feature be used to generate random numbers, over thousands of scenarii ?
