Anyone know if/how to change the default behavior of clicking Interfaces when in Data Mode. It defaults to design mode so I need to click Interfaces and then click Open. I could have sworn it took me straight to interfaces prior to the most recent UI changes.

Hey @Heidi-Qun,

This is also happening on my side -on everyone’s side actually I believe since latest changes.
You might want to reach out to support@airtable.com

will do - thanks for the sanity check @Mike_AutomaticN

You can hover on it and click on db icon to open the Data tab.

Hey @Taha-Jiruwala!

@Heidi-Qun’s issue (and probably everyone else’s) is not exactly that they cannot easily access the db from their home page, but that once on their db if they click on Interfaces they are re-directed to editor mode rather than to the published (“Done”) version of it.

@Heidi-Qun did you hear back from the AT team? I’m wondering if we are doing something wrong. This should be pretty easy.

Thanks!

Indeed I did hear back rather promptly - Airtable confirmed this is an issue that needs to be fixed.

support response:

“With the recent UI changes, the default behavior when clicking “Interfaces” now opens in design mode rather than directly launching the live interface. We understand that most users primarily want to use the interface, not edit it, and we've flagged this feedback with our product team, as it’s an important consideration for day-to-day workflows. Thanks for surfacing it! To stay on top of all things new at Airtable, please visit our What's new page.”

Oh, interesting. Thanks for the confirmation @Heidi-Qun
