We are stating to use portals - and we have our internal Jira linked with automatic status updates. The external clients with access to the portals want to do the same with their Jiras. Any ideas on how to make this work?

Just to clarify - they want their Jira integrated with your Airtable?

Hm, I reckon you would sync their Jiras the same way you’ve synced your Jira, with an extra field that links each Jira’s data to each external Client

You can then use “Filter by logged-in user” on that extra field, so each Client only sees tickets and status updates tied to their own Jira, does that make sense?

You may want to take a look at Make’s Jira integrations along with Make’s Airtable integrations.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you can instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable

I also give live demonstrations of how to use Make in many of my Airtable podcast appearances. For example, in this video, I show how to work with Airtable arrays in Make.

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld
