We have recently experienced some issues with read-only share links access.  It appears a user must have an account in Airtable to access a read-only share link.  Is this the case?

Hey @Douglas Hughes JPL,

Please do remember that there is a huge distinction between the following:

- Publicly shared interfaces or views. These do not require sign-in.
- Read only access to a base or interface: This does require sign-in. This is when you share the actual base/intefrace with read only, rather than sharing a public url.

Is this clear enough? Otherwise I can try sharing some more detail.

Yeap that’s the case.  What’re you trying to do?

Thank you both for your responses.  That was the information I needed and will share with our users.  There was user confusion surrounding sharing (both internally and externally) and I couldn’t explain some of it.
