Hi Everyone,

I run an Artist Agency and I use an Airtable record to store all of my artists data. When they are booked for a gig I have to fill in a very specific booking form provided by the client as an Excel Sheet.

Does anyone know if there is a tool that would allow me to populate such an Excel Sheet/or Google Sheet Form with the specific requested data from the Airtable record? I did look at Zapier but it doesn’t seem to provide that functionality as I would be mapping the data from the Airtable record to specific cells on the Google/Excel Sheet.

Thanks for your help.

Gary

Hi @Gary_Arbuthnot,

Yes, you can use Make’s Google Sheets integrations along with Make’s Airtable integrations to map fields from Airtable into specific cells of a Google Sheets spreadsheet.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.

However, there might be an even better solution for you: Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtablebecause it communicates directly with Airtable and can automatically generate a PDF file for you upon form submission.

I show how to do this on this Airtable podcast episode:

Fillout is 100% free, and it offers hundreds of features that Airtable’s native forms don’t offer, including the ability to update Airtable records using a formcreate custom PDF files from a form submissionaccept payments on formspre-fetch dynamic data from an Airtable recordcustomize the style and branding of your formcustomize a theme for your form, display Airtable lookup fields on forms, create new linked records on a formadd a login page to your form, perform math or other live calculations on your forms, collect signatures on a form, create multi-page forms with conditional paths, connect a single form to dozens of external apps simultaneously, add CAPTCHAs to your form, and much more.

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld
