set default currency for all fields

Is there a way to set the default formatting for currency fields (or for that matter other number fields) either per base or per account/workspace?

Every time I create a new currency field I have to manually change $ to £ and set the decimal places. This is tedious

Unfortunately, I don't believe this is currently possible.

It's not possible, but a workaround would be to remove the "$" symbol in all currency fields for each base and call each base Base_USD etc

It's so tedious and US-centric. I'm getting frustrated with this too
