Is there a way to show Airtable user comments (maybe the last update) in the page designer block? I’m not seeing a corresponding field, but thought there may be a hack…

No, unfortunately Airtable user comments are not accessible by other parts of an Airtable base, such as blocks or formulas.
The page designer block can only show information that is available in a field of the record (or through a linked record field), not the comments for the record.
