This appears to only sort the items in a group. I want to sort the order of my groups based on a date field. By default the groups are sorted in alpha order.
The outcome is to sort projects, where records are the project tasks, by the planned due date.

Sorry for the mixup. Group sorting is controlled in the Groups panel.

For dates, that interface will display 1->9 instead of A->Z. But click one of those buttons to change the sorting direction.
