And thanks for finding that old thread as well! I went back & updated that old post with the newest information as of today. It gives people a little more hope, because at least there are now 2 external apps that provide this functionality.
But it's a real shame that Airtable doesn't offer this, even though ALL other database apps on the market offer this feature, and even basic spreadsheet apps like Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets have had this since the very beginning.
p.s. If someone REALLY needs a database system that has that feature natively built into it, I would highly recommend turning to FileMaker. I used to be a FileMaker Developer for almost 30 years before becoming an Airtable consultant.
