Hi, i’ve tried to remove access on business leavers in the admin panel but users reappear within seconds - even if they are just viewers and have no ownership of workspaces & bases.

These are also users whose google account are deactivated.

Has anyone else been able to get around this?

thanks,

Gemma

This usually comes down to how users get provisioned rather than the admin panel itself.  “Remove access” and “Deactivate” are two different things in Airtable.  When you remove access you only strip workspace/base privileges but the person can still log in and even get re-added if anything re-provisions them.  If your org is on SSO/SCIM (or has User Groups that are synced to a Google Workspace group), the sync will silently re-add anyone who’s still a member of the source group in Google even if their individual Google account seems deactivated.  It is the group membership that matters and not the account status.  It is worth checking whether the leavers are still sitting in a synced Google Group.  If they are, remove them from the Google Group first, then deactivate them from the Airtable admin panel.

Thank you both - Airtable have also confirmed deactivate is the better option to use here and possibly why we were experiencing issues. Appreciate your input.
