How are you using Airtable?

Mostly as the connective tissue for healthcare data work: cataloging metadata from our EHR, building requirements engines for clinical documentation, and reconciling data across systems. I work both above and below the surface: native Interfaces, automations, cross-base sync, and role-scoped author/approver flows, plus the REST API and Python when I need to move or audit records at volume.

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable?

On my own time, I built a custom connector that lets an AI assistant work directly in Airtable: an MCP server wrapped around the Web API, so I can hand an LLM safe, structured access to query schemas, filter with formulas, and batch records. On the work side, my favorite is a requirements engine: a dimensional base with role-scoped author/approver Interfaces and an audit-log automation behind it. Happy to get into the weeds on either.

What would you like to see from this group?

Two things. First, sessions that go deep on the harder stuff: Interfaces and Automations at scale, API and scripting patterns, and how people are actually wiring Airtable together with AI. Second, I'm genuinely glad to help others in the area: if you're stuck on a base design, an automation, or an integration, that's the kind of problem I enjoy, so don't be shy.

Thanks to whoever got this group off the ground! I've been hoping for a Philly Airtable community for a while. If anything above is useful to you, or you just want to compare notes, reach out anytime. Glad to be here, and looking forward to meeting the crew at the first event.

— Joel 👋

How are you using Airtable?
I use Airtable as a complementary resource to our CMS, making website content and inventory information accessible to stakeholders who do not have CMS access. It serves as a centralized source of truth for our web properties, including location pages, provider pages, specialties, conditions, patient resources, and other content across pennmedicine.org.

What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable?
The coolest thing I've built is a comprehensive inventory of our website content. It helps track and manage thousands of web pages, providing visibility into content ownership, organization, and governance across the site.

What would you like to see from this group?
I'd love to connect with others who are using Airtable to solve complex business challenges and learn from their experiences. I'm particularly interested in troubleshooting, workflow optimization, automations, AI/agent-related use cases, and creative ways to improve Airtable-based tools and processes. I'm also looking forward to sharing knowledge, exchanging ideas, and learning how to make the Airtable experience even better for both myself and my colleagues.

How are you using Airtable? I’ve built a few ticketing systems, time trackers, and process automation tools
What's the coolest thing you've built (or want to build) with Airtable? Built out a QR Code request form that auto generates UTM parameters (and notifies the GA team), next up is connecting to our QR platform for a more fully automated process
What would you like to see from this group? (This really helps us plan future events and programming!) I’d love to find some people who are willing to chat through issues when they’re a little too nuanced for the message boards (and I’m happy to reciprocate!) Also love to hear about real use cases, especially tied to Marketing Operations.
