Ok, so last year I posted this Airtable Crhistmas Whishlist:

Guess what... It seems Airtable did hear me out (in part)!!!!

  • ❌ Parent/Child Forms: We still cannot create records in multiple tables, and have them linked together, through Airtable Native forms.
  • ✅ Smarter Automations: Conditional logic AND loopis in a single automation has been silently released some days ago.
  • ❌ Nested Loops (repeating groups) in automations: Not yet. We can only have one repeating group per automation (however, nested conditional logic was actually released!)
  • ✅ Higher Automation Limits: Even if not self-served, Airtable was kind enough to increase the automation limit for a few of my Clients (enterprise accounts)

What is THE feature that would really make your year in 2026?

On my side, I’m still pushing for Parent/Child forms.
Record count increase (+500k on enterprise accounts) will for sure be on my list as well.

Happy holidays for everybody in this great Community 🎅🎅🎅🎅 :D

While we didn’t get multiple table forms, we did get parent/child backlinks and quite a lot else (Dark mode!). I feel like this was actually a pretty great year for technical upgrades.

It would be interesting to see 2026 as the Year of Forms. Forms are a major data input method, but Airtable’s native versions are just run circles around by Fillout. If Fillout can do all it does just with API access, you have to imagine it’s possible to engineer it all into the native forms. If it is the year of forms, one other suggestion would be to unify form development and implementation. Make form views truly legacy, and maybe do the same with interface form pages, and just consolidate it all into the top level. It just makes it hard to explain how/where to actually build forms at.

My other wish list stuff would be better workspace organization tools and UI (I really want to make folders and hierarchy in my workspace), and more native Automation integrations. Also, now that Airtable has dark mode, could we get dark mode for the community forum 😎

Hey @DisraeliGears01,

Absolutely!  I didn’t mention other updates, as I was only tracking my 2025 whishlist lol. But I agree, great year in terms of feature updates :D

Yes, robust forms is such an important aspect for avoiding data silos (which is main reason why to use Airtable I guess). It’s a pitty we don’t have more robust native forms.

While the automation limit is still at 50, nested loops and conditional logic make more complex automations possible, which means you might need fewer automations in total for your use case.

What I would like to see our condition groups on Find Record steps or “record meets conditions” triggers. Sometimes I need a script to perform a query just because I need to mix “and” and “or”. You can have nested conditions basically everywhere else in the platform except for automations.
