Hi there — it would be great if the following restrictions could be set in form view: Set a limit the number of attachments that can be attached to a field Restrict the types of files that can be attached (e.g. to make sure users only upload PDF or DOC files, not any other types).

It seems that there is no way to get photos attached to records to export. I use a lot of photos - images are a key reason that I turned to AirTable. But it is frustrating that I can’t back the photo aspects of my work to my hard drive. Photo exports could also help AirTable work better in a contact database capacity.

Hi - I’m a lender and would like to use page designer to generate monthly statements for my borrowers. Ideally these are easily converted to pdf and saved in an attachment field for each record in a view. Right now there is no easy way to do this except for printing each separately and adding manually, or printing all records, splitting, and then uploading. We could save to an attachment field using a template and Formstack integration, but there are a couple limitations. No table view for linked fields and Formstack pricing is based on the number or merges, which would start to add up quickly. To share the statements with our borrowers, we’ll use Stacker so they can login to their portal and access the statements.

Most of my attachments are PDFs of business documents. In their unexpanded state – even in Gallery View –they pretty much all look alike. I would like to be able to quickly identify documents without expanding them, and the easiest way to do that would be to have the thumbnail display a relevant portion of the text at a readable size and resolution. Typically this text is somewhere around halfway down the page, not at the top where logos and indicias are usually found. I’ve tried making the thumbnails bigger and repositioning them by tweaking the CSS; unfortunately, Airtable thumbnails of PDFs are not tiny PDFs – they’re images – and they’re virtually unreadable when artificially enlarged. I would love the option to select from among different thumbnail sizes and resolutions when uploading PDFs or later. Even more, I would love it if the thumbnails of PDFs were the actual PDF documents in all their high-resolution glory. Using the Chrome Inspector, I modified my Airtable code locally and was successful in embedding a scaled-down yet scrollable version of a multipage PDF from a public document website. I realize this may not be practical, but, at minimum, it would be great if we could choose larger or higher-resolution thumbnails and choose what part of the image is displayed.

Hello 🙂 When an image is added in a cell, the only thing we can do on it is to add comments, which is fine but not sufficient IMO. A great addition would be the ability to make quick drawings (crosses, lines, rectangles for example) on an image. That would help a lot here ! Thanks, Regards. Nicolas Caplat

The ability to comment on specific sections of an image or video is very helpful for our marketing team. Is there a way to do the same thing for a document that’s been uploaded or a PDF? We often generate copy in this way and would like to be able to have people suggest edits the same way.

Increasing the number of automations in a base was awesome! They doubled, which saved me from having to find other solutions. I’m VERY thankful for that. Increasing storage based on plan would be an incredible next step. The pricing structure versus what you get for storage has a huge disparity. Free plans get two Plus gets five Pro gets twenty And enterprise gets one thousand. Pro is in need of a horsepower upgrade - we use Airtable enough to need enterprise, but its price is a cliff. I think the storage should be somewhere around this per base: Free plans get two Plus gets twenty Pro gets fifty And enterprise gets one thousand. I’d take more, but that feels like an absolute minimum. I’d love a way to increase storage on a base, or at least have an option for 100gb or so that we would want so that we don’t have to think about storage or the logistics of hosting it elsewhere. As a database, it is supposed to be our one source of truth. This makes it way easier having the media we need hosted here. A 20gb limit hamstrings that intention. Sure, it’s solved with more bases, but that is annoying and confusing for the end user.

What is the proposed idea/solution? As a user I want to be able to quickly share images, often screenshots, in the comments on a specific record. How does is solve the user problems? The user today needs to visit an external website to see the image I provide in an image link. Who is the target audience? Everyone who is collaborating in airtable

Occasionally I find the need to be able to add a general comment to an entire table (not base, not record). Would be great if you can add a function to the table drop-down, like 'add attachments'. The attachment might be a PowerPoint presentation providing context for the table, and excel file explaining calculations, etc.
