Amazing Airtable team, please give us folders to organize those Automations. I have about 50 and have to plow through them. Ideally I would like to organize the automatons into folders and (in my case) I would name the folder similarly as the tables names where the automations are being used. That would make it easier to find the right automation I am looking for.

Airtable Automations - Run History Across Automations Add a screen to view Airtable Automation Run History across all Automations, rather than per Automation, as this would allow for better troubleshooting since sequential processing can be derived. Settings Filter for Automation Filter for Date Range Filter for Status of Run (Success/Error)

PLEASE add the ability to use PDF export from page designer in automation! Or at least add the PDF as an attachment field in the record. The only way to get use out of the page designer is to manually download each record, would to use for creating static documentation of what a record looks like at a given time or send to client for review, etc.

What is the proposed idea/solution? With the recent updates to the Airtable API being more featureful with Record Comments - it makes sense to also give some love to no-code Automation Actions, allowing an Automation to post to the Record Comments, either as an Automation or upon behalf of a specified user. How does is solve the user problems? Currently, for example, an Automation can use conditional logic to email an Airtable operator of an issue with a record. It would be useful if we had other options too, such as the Automation posting to the records comment detailing the problem with that record. Who is the target audience? Any firm using Record Comments will find a benefit from an Automation no-code Action that can also write to a records comments.

We have identified a critical need in the Airtable community for more flexibility when it comes to automation and instance limits. Many users, especially those on the Pro plan, are struggling with these limitations, resulting in bottlenecks and hampering their workflows. We propose an ad-hoc automation and instance limit enhancement to address these concerns. What is the proposed idea/solution? Our proposed idea is to introduce ad-hoc automation and instance limit enhancements for Pro users. This solution would allow users to purchase additional automations and instances as needed, without having to upgrade to the Enterprise plan. Users can maintain their current subscription level while still accessing the increased automation capacity they require for their workflows. How does it solve users' problems? By offering ad-hoc automation and instance limit enhancements, users can: Overcome the 50 automation limit that is currently causing bottlenecks in their workflows. Customize their automation capacity according to their specific needs, providing more flexibility and scalability. Avoid building their own software or switching to other platforms, as they can continue using Airtable with increased automation capabilities. Save costs by not having to upgrade to the Enterprise plan when they only require additional automations and instances. How was this validated? This need was validated through direct user feedback and community discussions, where many users have expressed their struggles with the current automation and instance limits. The demand for increased flexibility in automation capacity is evident, with users on the Pro plan actively seeking creative solutions to bypass these limitations. Who is the target audience? The target audience for this product enhancement includes: Pro users who have reached or are nearing their automation and instance limits and require additional capacity for their workflows. Businesses with unique automation requirements that might not necessarily require the full features of the Enterprise plan. Users who are considering building their own software or switching platforms due to the current automation limitations in Airtable. Conclusion: Introducing ad-hoc automation and instance limit enhancements for Pro users addresses a critical need in the Airtable community. This product idea not only provides increased flexibility and scalability for users but also ensures that they can continue using Airtable without the need to upgrade to a higher subscription tier or seek alternative solutions.

When record comments would be available as a field in Automations, we could trigger automations on new comments. For custom notifications, record changes, update last modified date and copy of full record comments to a separate Long text field for those situations where the 6/12months retention is not enough.

Certain blocks require users add an editable (non-formula) field to a table to hold misc data which shouldn’t be directly edited by the user (i.e. the Map Block requires a geocache field). Many Script Block scripts semi-automate or standardize data entry processes to provide a form of data validation or workflow integrity. I think it would be nice if Airtable’s field permissions included a toggle for " Allow this field to be set in scripts/blocks/API" when the field permissions are set to: “Who can edit values in this field > Nobody”. For fields with permissions set to “Who can edit values in this field > Nobody”, there is already a toggle for “Allow this field to be set in records created through forms”, this would work similarly. This will help collaborators who should have the ability to edit data as determined by the script/block do so, but not directly to enforce some measure of data consistency in all the cases where a Formula would be insufficient.

Automations are such an amazing feature, but a long list of them is unwieldy and makes it very easy to lose track of what is still needed/what exists. Now that there are sections for table views, can we also have sections to organize our list of automations? 😃 Thank you!

What is the proposed idea/solution? Sometimes I have employees that desire to download CSV of views. we work exclusively out of an interface I built in Interface designer. I would like to create a download CSV button that will download the current configuration (filter) of the view of the grid i have hosted on the page How does is solve the user problems? Allow more flexibility in the Interface to download How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? ...
