We use Links to show how deliverables (in one table) relate to open projects (in another table). As deliverables are completed, they can be hidden in the table view of Deliverables, but they remain visible in the Linked column in the Projects table.
I feel like expanding which records are shown through Links would be a massive boon for anyone who wants to form more of a relationship between different tables.

It would be essential to me to be able to create a dashboard with a search that would then pull in rose from all of my bases across all of my bases. this is preventing me from setting up most of the applications I want to use including a complex task management system that I use in wrike.
A dashboard to pull rose from across all bases or even across tables within a base would be excellent and might allow me to adopt airtable.

It would be extremely beneficial if we had the ability to paste a word into a column of linked cells and instead of overwriting the column with that single word, the ability to add that word to the existing links within that columns records. this could apply to a clipboard of multiple linked items or words
Suggested UI: right click paste (overwrite) and secondary options right click paste (add to)
Potential challenge 1 If you paste a group of linked items and one or more linked items already exists in the cell. How would that work? Suggestion: Don’t allow it to, unless they are all exact match or unique (not a combination).
Potential challenge 2 If you paste a word from outside AirTable into the cell with the same word that already exists, do you combine or create a new record? Suggestion: a) pop up asking to combine or create new record or just always combine.
Universal suggestion to fix both above challenges: only allow (merge) pasting from copied cells within AirTable. If it comes from outside, then it will always be added as a new record (or merged), whatever you feel makes most sense.
I did a search to see if anyone has recommended this yet and am surprised no one has! Maybe I didn’t search the right terms. Anyways, I feel many people could benefit from this 🙂

Hi
I have a table with projects and a linked table with tasks. The projects are usually linked with multiple tasks. Now when I group my projects by tasks, it does not group by each individual task, instead it groups by every list of tasks one project has. This is very cumbersome.
It looks like this:
Group 1: “task1, task4”
Group 2: “task1, task2, task3, task4”
Group 3: “task2, task3, task4”
Group 4: “task3, task4”

I want to be able to click on a URL that is a link to a local file. The file would anyway be behind our company firewall so the drive location would not pose a security risk as you would have to be on our VPN to see the file. But the URL field will not support a clickable link to a internal file that is a webpage.

I created a base to manage a discovery product backlog. This base contains some tables I can divide in 2 categories : Product’s tables (everything needed for story mapping), Strategy tables (Roadmap, Targets, etc.). Of course informations of those 2 categories are related but KPIs are different. I regroup all my KPIs in different dashboard so I can monitor my product in one hand (realization) and my strategy in the other hand (conception). To improve my velocity and productivity it could be so insteresting to have the abity to create blocks tabs like a table. Each blocks tabs containing multiple dashboards. And of course to name my blocks tabs. So in my exemple I would have : 1 strategy tab : containing all my dashboards for my roadmap, etc. 1 Product tab : containting all my dashboards to prioritize my item, see description and prototype, etc. And may if I’ve got a team one more tab to monitor my processes. What do you think ?

Hi there, You pivot tables are not all that helpful since you can only summarize one column. I’m creating a daily habit tracker (so each column is a habit with a checkbox and the rows are the dates) and I love that it can show me the percentage checked at the bottom summary but I would like to create a pivot table to show what percentages are checked for each column each month and right now that isn’t possible. Or if you could make formulas reference across tabs instead of only being able to use columns in that tab for the formula that could accomplish it too… (and if “percent checked” was part of the formula). I found a very complicated workaround for a similar table (a “life score tracker” where I rate my day by things like productivity, mood, and health) where the column is just “type” and you select which thing you’re rating - but I was only able to make that one tolerable because I could have Zapier autopopulate a bunch of empty rows of the different categories each day and I’d prefer not to have to do that for this one, particularly since I’m 17 days into using it and because I have a limited Zapier plan (and I’m paying for Premium here so I should be able to show a pivot table where one of the options is just “all the columns except the column used except the date column” or something). A Twitter handle won’t launch Twitter Can’t seem to add a photo of a person Forwarded Contacts show subject as “Check out this record from the “Contacts” Table” (that could be better) Transfer a contact? That format useful to bring into other apps? probably not like a VCF) Can’t change the layout of the IOS design. I.e. the First, Last Name and Email take up too much room, can’t they be just across one line? Thanks
