What is the proposed idea/solution? Add a sorting option to the Group function associated the Record List interface (for example.) This option would be available when grouping by a Single Select List and would allow you to order the groups the same as they are ordered in the list. How does is solve the user problems? Currently you can sort Groups alphabetically or reverse alphabetically. This prevents Groups from being a useful way to organize sequential groupings of data, or results in the user including the sequence in the name of the group (e.g. "1. Shutting down warp core"; "2. Disconnecting primary coupler", etc), which is not ideal to manage and may be confusing if the field is used elsewhere in the interface. record_list.jpg shows the interface's record list with the groups collapsed so that you can see the order (alphabetical) single_select_list_order.jpg shows the order of the list and the order I would like the groups to appear group_sort_options.jpg is where one might expect to see another sort option. I find the interface button action [run an automation] to create a linked record with more populated and linked fields than the add record in fields more helpful. I believe it would be very helpful to create an action to then go to that newly created record in the interface as an immediate next step. Either that or allow for additional button actions. ... What is the proposed idea/solution? It often makes sense to use a unique id field as the primary field in a database (for example "customer_id"), especially as linking records requires the primary field to be used. When this data is then displayed within an Interface, many of the interface elements will show the primary field in bold at the top of the record, when most end users would wish to see the customer name for example.  How does is solve the user problems? Interfaces would be far more clear if records could be displayed with more control over if or how the primary field is displayed, allowing databases to reserve the primary field for unique data strings. I know this has been posted many times before, but we need a real solution to allow for grouping by multi-select fields in a way that makes all records associated with at least that value shown in the value grouping.  Yes, this might result in one record appearing multiple times in a grid view. Yes, that is desirable.  Notion users know that this is much more intuitive and user-friendly than the way Airtable handles this behavior.  --- Here's a real example for us: We do project planning in Airtable across quarters. Projects may span multiple quarters (multi-select field). There is no way to view all projects grouped by quarter where all Q1 projects are collected in a single group!  As a designer, it boggles my mind that it behaves this way...   ... View more
