Airtable team, We have a relatively large team using Airtable across multiple departments. It would be awesome if the Collaborator field could be pared down to just the collaborators in a particular department. For instance, if we have a Collaborator field called Production, we would be able to only see the collaborators in the Production department. As it is, everyone from every department has to look through all the names to find there name. Thanks!

I'm excited to use the external calendar feature (described here) to bring my Airtable data into my other scheduling tools. I understand that each record's primary field will be shown as the event titles, but for this to be really useful, I'd like to be able to specify additional fields to map to the other properties in the iCalendar VEVENT spec (here), such as the location and the description. It would be nice to use a different field for the event title as well, since the primary field is used so heavily elsewhere in Airtable. I realize I might be able to use an Automation to create and update the events in Google Calendar, but keeping everything in sync this way adds a lot of complexity and brittleness.

When I am searching for a linked record, I can only search if I know the first field (locked) for that table. However, when I start typing, I can see other fields listed in the options for each record that comes up. I’d like to search by those other fields, that will still get me to that linked record, not by just the first field. Example. Many of the linked records are listed like XMANS, XMAND, MANGS, UMIMG, UMIMA I can’t remember all of these codes, but I know what I am searching for - so if I typed something like “Ear Mite” it would show me possible linked records to choose from, of which I would select UMIMG. Hopefully that makes sense - will try to attach an image.

A short list of things that I still can’t believe I can’t re-order in Airtable: view filter terms view grouping fields automations (!) Bonus points if we could also turn on/off filter terms and grouping fields w/o having to delete them and re-add them again. With literally everything else in Airtable re-orderable (in a very slick way), why can’t these be re-ordered? Dustin

A have a complex base, running many automation and connection with external sources. In case of huge mistake, I would like to restore a snapshot and overwriting the current base in order to keep working all my automations fine. In Airtable, copies are currently restored on a new base. In the case of people like me, who run a lot of automations and work with the rest API, it is not a very useful alternative.

I have certain views with sensitive information and would like to have AirTable require me to log in again after a certain amount of time to view these (similar to the way that a bank automatically logs you out after 10 minutes with no activity.)
I would not even mind if the entire app logged me out after 10 minutes with no activity. I realize this might be inconvenient for some users, so perhaps it could be a setting.

What is the proposed idea/solution? A better and more flexible way to export views as pdf. How does is solve the user problems? Now the pdf export for views is very limited. There is no logo options, row dimension settings,.... How was this validated? Who is the target audience? People at meetings, users who still need to print to do lists for collaboration ( i'm an architect and workers on the field need information printed on paper)

I am often in a position where I would like to compare data from two tables.
Say for example, one table was my Estimations table, where I have many entries where I forecasted the result of something.
In a separate table, I have my Records, where I recorded the results of entries.
If I wanted to map those those table together, there is no way to do so. The only solution is to merge those two tables into one single table.
This would be fine if the data was used in exactly the same way (all of it’s subsequent columns were doing the same things to the data), or the columns were simple, but this is not the case. I calculate different things on my Estimates than my Results.
The solution for this would be permitting Multi-Table Charts, where I select:
Table 1 X, Y, Grouping
Table 2 X, Y, Grouping
Or alternatively…
X Value Table 1: COL, Table 2: COL
Y Value Table 1: COL, Table 2: COL
Grouping …
This would allow for much more powerful data comparison, and would not require me to try to merge different data into one table for the sake of charting-only.
