Hello Friends! Proposal Add a filter option called “Records linked to records in View XXX from Table YYY”. Then you can build the rest of your filters on top of that. This would eliminate a TON of tedious updates that often lead to confusion when manual updates are not applied properly to all views. Hoping for an added feature to control the colors of a chart block. Please correct me if I missed a feature in anything I say below ! So far, the only way I found to control the colors of a chart block is to group based on a single-select field. Unfortunately, the colors of single-select options are : limited by the AirTable UI available colors limited to manual changes (I can’t find a way to change them through formulas or API calls) My use case : as I explained here, I have various correlated charts plotting data from a “Sessions” table, and I group them by customer (link to the “Customers” table). I need consistent colors to analyze these at a glance. Possible implementations that would work for me : Basic feature enabling workarounds : Allow control of Single-select option colors through formulas, through the API, or any other way… Maybe too narrow : Blocks > Chart > ‘Group by’ field > Add a ‘Custom color’ choice which could be based on table relations. In my case, expecting ‘Group by’>“Customer” link field and ‘Custom Color’>“CustomerColor” chosen in the customers table. [Eventually, implementing a ‘Color’ field type at the same time] (New Field: Color 🌈) would be the icing on the cake ! 🙂 My best solution at the moment : I use a Node.js bot (built for various third-party syncs) to sync the “Customer” link value of a “Sessions” record into a Single-select field of the same record which holds the manually input color of that customer. It would be great if I could “Limit selection to specific options” based on other field conditions. For Example: I have a venue with dozens of rooms. You can only use some of our rooms for specific types of events. So, if an {Event Type} was a “Recording Session” then it would be great to limit my {Room} field selection (multiple select type) to ONLY the recording studio rooms in our venue. Hi, Sorry if this has been asked before, if it has I don’t see it. It would be useful if I could have single select fields have coloured options in grid view but not in a form. Rationale: If I am running a survey where I would like to be able to spot certain selections easily or Red/Amber/Green answers in Grid View - I don’t want them to appear this way to the person inputting data on the form as to bias the results. I asked a question and was suggested to post a feature request here. I’ve defined linked records between two tables, say, Customer and Order with a one to many relationship. In a view of Customer I can expand a cell in the linked order column to see a list of order records, but that list has a fixed format. I already have nicely configured Views for Order data. I would like expand cell to display the linked orders using one of those existing Views with an appropriate record query that filters to just the matching orders. Likewise, in a view of Order, I want to click on a linked customer record, or “expand cell” to display that single customer using an existing View of Customer that I’ve configured. Looks like there is no pre-built way to do this, nor scripted approach since a script can’t control the main table/view display. ... View more
