I just want a Kanban view without editing option in one of the tables. I have created a base with two tables - 1. Tasks, 2. Sub-tasks. When I complete all my Sub-tasks, the status in the main task automatically updates. In main task, I have 3 statuses - 1. Not yet Started, 2. In progress, 3. Completed. This statuses are formula based. I want to view this statuses in Kanban View and it is a view which I would never edit but it would update on its own based on the formula. If there is any available solution for this purpose, I open for it.

I am loving the base I’ve made for productivity and planning. One of the prioritization models I like using is an Eisenhower matrix; it has quadrants (aka 4 boxes within a square) that group tasks/projects into Urgent/Important, Urgent/Note Important, Not Urgent/Important, and Not Urgent/Not Important. I have created a field with these values and currently use a grid view to group by this field. But what I would love to do is visualize it in the intended format - a quadrant. I have seen it done in another application.

We are doing software for a dude ranch and it uses the timeline view with colors to show the status of reservation records. It would be really nice if we could add a “texture” to these records to identify them based on a second characteristic. For example, all records that are “deposit paid” are blue, but that means all records are blue for a long time. It would be nice if I could add stripes on top of the blue to see all the records that are part of the group, for instance.

Currently, the button is wayyy below and for records with lots of linked records, when you want to add new one, you need to scrolll down infinitely. Current Proposed Solution Thanks!

I love that we can configure a view with filters, groups, sorted, etc. However, I think it would be handier to have these configurations be able to be set! Many users use the same view and start changing/adding filters to find the info they need on any given table. I’d like the ability to reset the view to a specific configuration with just a click of a button. I’m not sure if this is already possible.

In the web view, instead of opening a new record in the mini add format, please allow a user to have the option to open every new record in full record view - I never find the mini add useful, and would like the option to create records in the full record view format.

I often have the issue of switching to a table viewing the data, searching for what I want only to find that someone has last used an odd view and I am looking at a filtered set which I dont want. How about being able to set a DEFAULT VIEW for each table, which when you switch to that table it display every time. In your USER SETTINGS you would have a checkbox as to whether you want to use the default view for each table. Quick and simple to implement and VERY VERY useful!

When we were using Microsoft Access it had really simple Design View interface on a table to manage the table structure, ordering fields, adding new fields, setting the datatype etc. I’m not looking for all the same functionality but I’m reminded of it when using Airtable managing views on field-heavy tables. Managing the fields on these tables via the Hide Fields dropdown menu is slow and clumsy and my browser freezes when I’m pulling fields up/down the list. With the table view sprawling horizontally there’s too much lateral scrolling for what should be such a simple operation. The multi-select feature for fields made a bit of a difference, but being able to view the fields in a way that better utilises screen area would be a bit improvement for me. I would love to see a dedicated design view for an Airtable View. I’d take that over the Hide Fields menu any day!

I would like to be able to limit form submissions to a specific email domain but not require form submitters to sign up for airtable accounts. So I would like to check that the domain matches and then email the user with a “Validate Your Email” that includes a hyperlink that they can click on to confirm their email.

Ability to save preconfigured Tables (and optionally Views) for quickly adding to Bases. Ability to save individual Fields for quickly adding to Base Tables. Ability to select multiple for quick add. Naming conventions would be kept Descriptions would be kept Permissions would be kept Use Cases: Predefined Single Select Fields Predefined Multi Select Fields • Predefined Button fields Predefined Table templates Predefined Views in a Table template etc.
