When i’m logged in, I’m constantly in “full edit” / “design mode”, i.e as the creator/owner of the base I am anytime able to edit everything which creates the risk of accidentally changing a view or editing a table the wrong way.
Is there a way to switch from “Design Mode” to “User Mode” or “Input Mode”. Basically after I have created the base with its tables and forms, I want to switch to a view where I just USE IT.
Enter and view data etc… Being in “Design Mode” all the time is annoying.
Or am I missing something?

It would be very useful if there was a way to check what other fields are dependent on a certain field. For example, if one formula field B includes the field A in its formula, show somewhere in the header of Field A that field B uses it for calculation. Or, if Field C from Table B uses field A from Table A as a rollup. This would make things much easier when trying to figure out whats going on in a large database. Or at least make things easier when trying to do a cleanup and delete some unused fields.

The discussion feature with Airtable is seriously lacking in many ways. If this experience could be improved to align with other organization apps, this would help us as an agency drive more people to use the system. Here is what is wrong with the chat feature: Needs to be its own pop-up. Too confusing tucked away to the side. Chat width is too small. Very hard to read long messages No spell check ability - Many spelling errors when you are in a hurry, looks bad to the client No method to bold or style text. Please, please, please can this be upgraded???

I was surprised to find that if I deleted a linked record from the ‘Parent’ side of a relationship that the child record was still present in the other table - but orphaned.
I can see how this behaviour is desirable if the link is set up to allow links to multiple records but in a one to many I would expect the record to be deleted rather than Orphaned.
This is even more the case if the ‘parent record’ is deleted - and I note that in this case the record is orphaned as well.
This leads to a messy database and can be very confusing for users.
Could we have options in the link definition to enable cascade delete and also delete record when link deleted?

If a record has a color, I would like it if links to that record inside other tables were displayed in that color, rather than the usual light blue.
Use Case:
I have color coded issues in one table according to urgency. These issues are linked from another table, where they are part of a larger overview of topics to work on. In the overview, I would like to be able to see the color coding of my linked records, so I see which topics have issues with high urgency.

Loving the embed block! But I would love it more if I could customise the URL to be loaded based on a field in my table… My usecase - I’m building custom URLs from data collected in forms. The URLs include complex payload data. Want to be able to load those custom URLs dynamically into the embed block so my users can see the record and the embedded web page simultaneously. Seems that embed only supports static URLs for now? Any plans to allow dynamic population of the embed URL from a field in a base?

I saw some old suggestions here on the forums but just wanted to check does anyone know if Airtable ever gave an official reason for why the tablet version of the app is so crippled? Using the site in recent versions of Safari on the iPad is almost-not-infuriating these days but can’t a unicorn startup muster a few bucks and get someone on the task on figuring out how to run a proper web app on $2,000+ worth of hardware? 😅

I’m sure you guys are working on this, but making Calendar View available for the mobile app would be tremendously helpful. I’m currently using Airtable to keep my school work and due dates organized, and being able to see the calendar on the go would rock my world.
