Like many others i found Airtable a very fancy way to create my own movie database solution, but since i have many items for adding to table i was think about some kind of automation. i tried zapier but that was not what i’m looking for. my idea exactly is like the process of adding a movie to imdb lists, by typing some first character of movie title a drop-down list shows then by clicking the item information automatically implements. in my opinion the best way is block that connect whit omdb API and fill the table filed. so what do you think? is there a better way for this goal? ... Hi, I guess this is not possible then let’s make this a request. I would like to link tables using any other than the primary field. Real life example using Airtable as a special, small biz CRM: table 1: customer database, customer account number is primary field, other fields like email table 2: orders, linking to customers via account number table 3: form submissions running in from a web form, customers don’t use their account numbers of course (mostly even don’t/need to know them). I know would want to query the customer DB using the email field to see if there’s an account for that email and then link it, If it’s possible it would be great but it doesn’t look like. There should be a unified view that links together all records and all tables (all linked records “left joined” automatically, or could be an option of left, right, outer or inner). This way, you could apply features such as roll-ups and counts without needing to update the linked records (“re-linking everything”) every time. This will allow querying across tables from outside all of them as well… I realise that there might be issue with recursion, but should be resolved easily by putting a recursion level that should be rendered in the menu or putting a soft cap (or both!) ... It would be super helpful for me if there was the option in gallery view to only display a field if there is something entered in the field. This way if different records have info entered into different fields the empty fields aren’t taking up space and taking away attention in the view. Thank you! ... View more

Is there a way to have markers in a Map Block be coloured based on the value of a Single Select field in each record? It would be very useful to have markers that represent records in different categories have different colour markers on the map. For instance, if I have a map and some markers represent shops that are open 24 hours and some markers represent shops that are only open during the day it would be great if this could be shown on the map with colour.
