We recently started using the Web Clipper extension to easily log issues with our websites / apps in a issue tracker base. It works great! However, it would be sooo awesome if we could set some fields as “required” when configuring the recipe. Hi, I’ve been tasked with creating a clothing inventory system and have decided to use Airtable. I was wondering if there is a way to create a view which shows all the information in selected tables. We have various ‘concepts’ which come in that the product is split into. The order of the options in a Single Select field are defaulted to alphabetical when accessed via a Lookup field. This means that grouping by the lookup field ignores your assigned order, which is very frustrating. If the options are ordered a certain way, it is a disservice to violate that. Please preserve the order of the single select field through lookups. If for example I have a Single Select field with options: “Priority” “Casual” “Delisted” When I access that field via Lookup and Group my view on it, my records will come grouped in the following order: “Casual” “Delisted” “Priority” Just like that, an intentional order is ruined. ... one of the things I love the most about airtable is the agile way in which i can create a table, add a field, create rows, then convert that column to a single-select to constrain future row input, then later convert the same column table links and have airtable convert all my single-select values into rows in a new table. its the un-schema workflow; what a wonderful way to work up a data model. a nice related feature would be the ability to collapse multiple records in a table, merging the linkages of each record into a single record. it would help on the clean-up side of the agile modeling process i outlined above. ... Is it possible to make multiple and single select fields reffer to another field with multiple entries? example: table has 3 fields named goon type, available goons, chosen goons in available goons (dependant on goon type), I have a multiple select or a lookup field with several entries, but I have to select only few of them for this specific record in the field chosen goons. this would fulfill a good part of the void left by the non-existence of data validation. ... It appears that when you create a countdown block, the time configuration defaults to GMT. It would be great if there was an option to count down time in a specific timezone, or to view the time left in the countdown from my local timezone. ... View more

The Airtable table I tried to share in the following thread is not correctly displayed. Track Room Items Base design I want to track what items are in which room. What is the ideal solution for this? For now, I am not interested in the quantity, but only that a certain item exists in a room or not. For the items exist unique categories, namely furniture, tool and machine. How can you customise the information on a calendar view? The calendar view doesn’t add as much as I hoped for us - it shows the name of the record and then if we click on that the name and the date. As our record names is a alphanumeric code - it doesn’t immediately provide value to us (we need to open the whole thing) - What I would like is to be able to customise the informaiton that shows up in a calendar and on click of a record in calendar (before i expand the record). Our use case here is that we deliver 1000s of workshops - i want a trainer name calendar so i can see at a glance which trainers are working on that specific day - within my workshops tab. Equally having the click on record show the location or client would be great. Accidentally pasting more than one row from an excel file overwrites the cells in the rows below the active row, so having an option that restricts pasting to the current row only (regardless of how many rows there are in the clipboard) would prevent this, which I have done several times without realizing it. Perhaps the same with the auto fill option too. ... View more
