What is the proposed idea/solution? If an email field is set to required on a form, the form should not allow the user to submit unless there is a valid (properly formatted) email address entered into the field. How does is solve the user problems? It allows form users to fix issues before submitting a form with invalid data. It helps the form owner ensure that the incoming data is correct. It makes it more likely that the form owner will be able to contact form users and e.g. send confirmation emails. How was this validated? People are expressing their frustration about the lack of this issue on a number of different threads in the Airtable forums. Who is the target audience? Our beloved platform seems to ignore thousand of users and so we are still struggling with numbers and the use of comma instead of dot for decimals. To do that, we have to literally TRIPLE the number fields.  Even though many have asked for it, we still miss printing an interface.  Of course they also ignore many users that need a multi page designer !!!  These 3 requests are not new! I am trying to convert from Asana to Airtable using Kanban cards. But the Kanban cards, even with the recent improvements hiding fields if they are empty, are still too chunky. Using a non Kanban view on Asana. I can see 15 tasks without having to scroll down, and their Kanban view will show around 5 tasks. But with Airtable, the cards are so huge, I can only see 2 or 3 cards before I have to scroll down. If there was an option on each card to show a compact view or a standard view, it would greatly improve the usability of Kanban cards with airtable. The compact view only needs to show the title, and if you want to see more of the card you can toggle the standard view. Users have been calling for a simple TITLE CASE / PROPER function since 2016. And I know, there is @Bill.French’s wonderful script - Field Tweaker - that allows you to reformat a field as either UPPER, LOWER, or TITLE CASE. Field Tweaker - Script Block for In-place Transformations Show and tell After importing data, it’s not uncommon to want to clean up and normalize data values, especially text fields that may have all types of inconsistencies. What is the proposed idea/solution? Allow users to add a new record on another table through a linked field, when inside a form. How does is solve the user problems? Currently, in a form a user can select a record from a linked field, but they cannot create a new record through that linked field. This would be very helpful for instances when a new record needs to be added and you want to give that ability to the user. How was this validated? Not sure what "How was this validated" means... What is the proposed idea/solution? ...Summary: I want more control if you are going to have this feature let me add my own values and use it or not use it if I want to. Rename what records are called for each level - To rename what each record in a List view is called (i.e. "Task" vs. "Record") use the customized terminology feature. Reasons why I like it: I like it because it is useful to see the context change for each record in each table based on what kind of record is contained in it. How does is solve the user problems? ... Reasons why I don't like it: I don't like it because I don't have control over what I call records I don't want to pick from a pre-built list I want at least to add my own value and not be forced to use the list that I am given. I use field names that really help me identify what table I am using and if I can't use the unique field name that I create then it makes it hard to know what field is being used.
