Windows 10 tablet keyboard swipe not working

I have found that when editing an AirTable database now using the Windows 10 app the swipe ability of the on screen keyboard (that I can use with most other apps) is turned off, so that I have to enter the text of the note by tappng each key individually. Has anybody else found this? I the swipe functionality of the Windows 10 enables much quicker text entry and I would love to be able to use it with the notes of AirTable. Nigel

This is not an issue of sort, but not completely expected, so I just wanted to mention here in case something that Airtable cares ponder on further. When lookup up source record (from within the linked table) - the window shows visible fields as defined by the 1st (top most) view defined in the source (main) table. Let’s say I have 2 tables, table A is linked to table B. In table A (my main table) I have 2 views created, the 1st view has 200 hidden fields and the 2nd view has 100 hidden fields. The record in Table A is linked to Table B via a field. I go in table A and open that 2nd view in Table A (with 100 hidden fields) and then jump to my linked table B where I open the linked record - I get window that looks like this: The number of hidden fields is determined by the 1st (top most) view defined in the source (main table A) and that is regardless of what view I have currently open in my table A. I would have expected the number of fields (see the picture) to be determined by the number of hidden fields in the view I have currently opened in the source (main) table). It’s a small issue but it’s just something that could be improved on.

Every now and then I need to share my iOS device for a short period of time. It would be very much needed to have easy and quick PIN protection for additional protection for the app data. To make full logoff and logon every time for that situation is not very convenient. Would it be possible to introduce optional PIN protection for the iOS app?

I don’t want to rollup and I don’t want to use string lengths to count array elements. Just give me a real count() function. Bonus points for allowing me to cast a string into an array.

It would be SO useful if there was a way to archive some of the options Context/Example: We run a lot of events, and have each event listed as it’s own option in a multi-select field. Since most of our events are now in the past, we have a hundred+ options to scroll through to find the current ones. We cannot delete the old ones because we need to reference past classes on occasion. We use color coding and try to drag and drop reorder by date, but that doesn’t reduce the clutter. And filtering is of no use here because we are not wanting to see all of the options in the drop down.

Can you please make copying an image from one field to another one easier. Right now I have to download that image from one field and upload again to another one. (I only need to do it for selected image (among several in the field) and I only do this sometimes (when I attached on mobile device to wrong field) The quick and dirty work-around is in the browser interface to right click on the image and get the URL (non-shareable) and then use the URL-upload window in the other field to upload the image. The work-around works OK but the issue is, the URL I get from the previous step is a link to a reduced size version of the image. The link doesn’t give me the full resolution image. I understand sometimes people like to be able copy the link to the reduced size image but most of the time when I copy the link this way I do it to move images between fields. If I want to share the image, then I’ll get shareable link of the image or I just send link to the record to somebody. So again, when you clink on any image the link is “.attachmentThumbnails” link and not the full resolution link. By copy pasting this link between fields, I am loosing high resolution.

i think the absolute most useful automation for my use case would be something that fires ONE time when a batch of records are added to a view rather than say for example one email per record added id like one email that says your table has rolled over to the new month or whatever. but have many records in the table. right now im using one view share link per person and changing a status in my people table (separate from the content) to ‘notify’ and triggering with a formula to send an email with the view share link in it but all of the data involved in that is 4-5 unnecessary fields in my people base. and this breaks down when i need to send the same stuff to an entire location i then have 4-5 extra fields in the locations table. i also dont like including those urls in every email as some people internally are afraid to click on links in emails and for some entities they wont even get through the endpoint. maybe even one email with a list of the records that were added

Requiring coding in order to show anything in a timezone other than GMT is unnecessarily difficult and there should be an easy way to change the time zone on your profile so that all time-related fields will be reflected to each person in their time zone. For instance, if multiple contributors need to see a deadline they should see it in each of their own time zones. This seems to be a major design flaw since the main intention of this app is to make it easy to organize content and deadlines.

I have about 30 automations and in my base and every time I copy the base, all Automations are disabled. I kind of get it why it is, I guess precautionary measure to prevent triggering automations again when they shouldn’t run (e.g. sending emails again, posting into facebook etc.). That’s fine. I get it. In my base, my Automations are only within Airtable and don’t interact with 3rd party services. I rely on Automations to fill some fields in my table. Recently I copied my base and I forgot to turn on the Automations. The issue now I am facing is all the data I filled into the table is incomplete, my formulas didn’t run and basically the data is useless. I will need to spend hour or more to fill in manually the stuff that would have done with Automations (many of them start on new record creation etc) So while I understand why Automations shouldn’t be enabled by default, I wish I was able to turn them on easily (not go one by one to turn on each Automation… I got almost 30 of them). And secondly, I wish there was a switch in the dialogue when copying to base that would allow be to enable all Automations in the copied base. Here are screenshots of what I mean: .
